Oil Production vs Oil Consumption
Oil Production: 5.06 Thousand Barrels per Day
Oil Consumption: 206.16 Thousand Barrels per day
Morocco is a net hydrocarbon importer. They plan on trying to cut back on foreign imports and expand their oil storage and distribution. This tells me that the country is planning ahead to make great technological advances and better their handle of the countries resources. Having these resources stored for the countries benefit can be of use incase there is ever a shortage of energy they would be able to suppy this for themselves and even distribute it to other countries for money. I learned that use a lot more energy than I thought they would. I can assume that most people have electricity and have better living conditions than I first thought before researching this country. They use the countries resources to benefit the people and have good ideas and plans for the future.
How much technology does the average person have in each home?
In 2012, there was a decrease in usage of Fossil Fuels, do they plan on continuing this decrease and how?
My countries resources are agriculture, which produces foods, phosphates, which produce energy and metals, and leather, which can produce an array of goods. These goods are produced through farming and mining. Most people in Morocco either farm or mine as jobs. These goods can be used by anyone in the world, mainly places who lack these specific goods. If a country is baren with no plant life they cannot produce fruits and vegtables. They also would not be able to have animals to feed and then get leather from. These goods can be exported or kept in storage for the country itself.
Morocco is a liberal economy. It is very commited to economic reform especially in the past few years. This year Morocco gained its title of being moderately free in economic status. They have worked on labor freedom and investment freedom to improve their countries economy.
Moroccan labor distribution is up 33.4 percent and they have made major improvements in the last year to promote job freedom. This shows that they care about their peoples well being and want to give them more jobs and opportunities. Since Morocco has had many people leave over the past decade to get jobs in other countries they are trying to improve the situation. Their unemployment rate is just under 10 percent but they plan to keep decreasing that over the next few years. They use most of their resources from their country and do not outsource as much as other countries in the world do. This shows their independence of resources.
The GDP for Morocco is 5,456 per capita.
